This summer, La'Nyah Biggs, a Business Management student at Southern University, was awarded a scholarship and secured a summer internship through the Black Building Envelope Professionals (BBEP). She interned with Seven Source, where she gained hands-on experience with building envelope technology, including job site visits and product demonstrations. La'Nyah also explored the innovative world of 3D printed concrete by PIKUS3D. After graduation, she aspires to become a CEO. BBEP is committed to supporting underrepresented groups in the building envelope industry and introducing HBCU students to construction opportunities.

Partnered with University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Career Development Program to introduce the roofing industry to local High School students.

Prairie View A&M University and Exxel Pacific Construction in Seattle, WA.

The BBEP network connected Eco-Spec, a Black Independent Representatives, with potential new clients. As a result, Eco-Spec signed 2 new clients. (networking; increasing black representation).
